Find the opportunity that is right for you at 的 Student Opportunity Center (SOC)!

• A database with over 11,000 on-campus, in-state, regional, and nation-wide undergraduate student opportunities from the arts to the sciences
  • conferences and competitions;
  • journals for publication of undergraduate scholarly work;
  • internship, co-op, and research 项目;
  • funding for undergraduate scholarly activities.
• Customize your searches based on area of interest, type, location, date and identify 最喜欢的!
• Access the SOC database with your USM email address and choose a password (your SOAR password is not automatically 认可).

的 Council on Undergraduate 研究 (CUR) is a national organization that supports undergraduate student research collaborations with faculty mentors.

Nationally Competitive Programs at Southern Miss

• 密西西比州INBRE offers paid summer 项目 for students interested in biomedical research, service or outreach at one of the Mississippi partner universities.
• Students must be Mississippi residents and U.S. 公民.
• 的 application deadline is March 1 (5 p.m.).

  

Dale Center for the Study of War & 社会

• 的 Dale Center for the Study of War & 社会 Awards at least one student grant of up to $1,000 for research or creative activity that addresses historical and contemporary wars.
• 的 funds may be used for expenses related to research, creative or other professional development activity, including travel to present the scholarly work at a conference, performance venue, etc.
